The MINI John Cooper Works Clubman gains all-paw traction

The MINI John Cooper Works Clubman is also the first JCW MINI to gain all-wheel drive.

MINI recently made some changes to the new member of the John Cooper Works club.

The first is the addition of the latest MINI ALL4 all-wheel drive system, making it the first John Cooper Works model to provide traction on all legs. This, of course, means that you can squeeze out some more energy.

Horsepower remains at 228, using the same 2.0L TwinPower Turbo with four suspensions as the regular JCW Cooper. But the torque gets a huge hit from 236 lb-ft to 258 lb-ft, making it the coolest MINI ever made.

Sprinting to 60 mph takes just six seconds with a standard six-speed manual. An eight-speed Steptronic with ZF source is optionally available.

Thanks to a large number of suspension updates, the new JCW Clubman gained a good position by almost half an inch. This lowers the center of gravity to improve body control and handling.
